Ukraine’s Eurovision 2023 Participants Share Excitement for New Project
The Eurovision Song Contest is one of the most highly anticipated events in the music industry, bringing together talented artists from all over Europe to compete for the title of the best song of the year. And for Ukraine, it’s not just about the competition, but also about showcasing their rich culture and musical heritage to the world.
As the host country for Eurovision 2023, Ukraine has already started preparations for the big event. And recently, the country’s representatives for the contest have revealed some exciting news about their upcoming projects.
The Ukrainian delegation for Eurovision 2023 consists of three talented artists – singer and songwriter Jamala, pop duo Kazka, and electronic music producer and DJ Maruv. All three have already made a name for themselves in the Ukrainian music scene and are now ready to take on the international stage.
Jamala, who won Eurovision 2016 with her powerful song “1944”, has been working on her new album which is set to be released in 2022. The singer shared that the album will feature a mix of different genres, including pop, soul, and traditional Ukrainian music. She also revealed that she will be collaborating with some international artists for the album.
“I am very excited about this new project and can’t wait to share it with the world. It’s a mix of my personal experiences and influences from different cultures. I believe it will be a great representation of Ukraine’s diverse music scene,” Jamala said.
Kazka, the pop duo known for their hit songs “Plakala” and “Cry”, also has something special in store for their fans. The duo, consisting of vocalist Olena Tsibulska and producer Andrii Zaporozhets, will be releasing their third studio album in 2022. And according to them, it will be their most ambitious project yet.
“We are currently in the process of creating our new album and we are really pushing ourselves to explore new sounds and styles. We want to surprise our fans and show them a different side of Kazka. We are also planning to release a few singles before the album drops, so stay tuned,” Olena and Andrii shared.
Maruv, who rose to fame after winning the Ukrainian national selection for Eurovision 2019, has been busy touring and performing at various music festivals. But she has also been working on new music and is set to release her debut album in 2022.
“I am grateful for the opportunities that Eurovision has given me and I am excited to continue my musical journey. My album will feature a mix of electronic and pop music, and I am also planning to collaborate with some international artists. I can’t wait to share my new music with my fans,” Maruv said.
The Ukrainian delegation for Eurovision 2023 is determined to make their country proud and bring home the trophy once again. And with their new projects in the works, it’s clear that they are not only talented but also passionate about their craft.
